The Governor-General has announced six new Order of Australia Association Foundation Scholars following a Round Table Conference at Admiralty House.

The Scholarships
Presentation of Scholarship Awards
The Scholarship Award Certificates have been presented every year by the Governor-General or representative at an Awards Ceremony associated with the Association’s Annual Conference. The Awardees and their immediate next-of-kin together with their Scholarship Donors and Mentors are invited to the Awards Ceremony.
Donors of Scholarships
Those Donors wishing to underwrite the whole cost of a Scholarship are invited to donate a total of $45,000, which may be donated in instalments over 3 years. This amount of $45,000 covers the $40,000 provided to the participating University for the Scholarship and also the costs involved in the selection process, transporting and accommodating the Awardee together with two immediate next of kin to the presentation of the Awards and administration over the life of the Scholarship.
The Foundation, in consultation with the Donor of each Scholarship, selects the particular University and course of study for the Scholarship award.
The name of the Scholarship Donor is placed on the Award Certificate of the Scholarship they have funded and acknowledged in the Foundation’s publicity material. The Donor is invited to the Award Ceremony where the Award Certificate is being presented.
The Scholarship Donor will be made a Fellow of the Foundation and be recognised on the Award Certificate, which carries the signature of the Governor-General or representative.
